Many European countries have their own Celtic harp festival. These festivals serve a dual purpose: giving Celtic harp players a chance to learn new skills, while at the same time creating a network of friends to keep each other inspired and share the love for the instrument.
While the Netherlands has a tradition of harp festivals, it being the country where the first World Harp Congress was thought up and held, it did not have its own Celtic harp festival. This all changed in 2013, when Anouk teamed up with harp shop de Zingende Snaar to create the international Harp Friends Meeting.
The festival has been held each year since then, offering Celtic harp players a place to learn from the best teachers, listen to the most amazing performers and become part of the Harp Friends family. The intimate character of the festival makes for a great atmosphere in which it is easy to fit in and share your passion.
