After the great success of the Nederfolk evening around Kees van der Poel on February 9, Roots aan de Zaan has taken the initiative to organize a sequel.
On Saturday, December 21, 2024, a unique Nederfolk reunion will take place in the Pasveerzaal/Fluxus in Zaandam. Fifty years after the Folkrevival of 1974 when Fungus climbed the Top 40 with Kaap’ren Varen and groups such as Deirdre and Crackerhash were among the finest of Nederfolk, we are celebrating a new Folkrevival with the young folk groups Voddemoêr and Four Of A Kind.
Together with (ex-)members of Fungus, Deirdre and Crackerhash, they will give a unique one-off concert. And because it is the Saturday before Christmas, it will have an extra Christmas touch. The evening will be dedicated to Dutch song and Dutch instrumentals and dances. It will be played in varying formations.
